Business Connect

Business Connect is the official supplier procurement and diversity program of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC).

This program connects certified, locally based diverse small businesses with contracting opportunities tied to major sporting and entertainment events, including the Super Bowl, GRAMMY Awards, FIFA World Cup, and the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

If you are a certified minority-, woman-, LGBTQ+, veteran-, or disability-owned business, Business Connect may provide a pathway into LA’s largest events.

Participating businesses:

  • Are vetted through a competitive process
  • Are listed in a Resource Guide used by event organizers and prime contractors
  • Receive access to professional development and mentorship
  • Gain networking opportunities with decision-makers

While participation does not guarantee a contract, Business Connect creates a structured pathway for local diverse businesses to compete for high-profile opportunities and share in the economic impact of LA’s global stage.

If the interest form is temporarily closed or at capacity, businesses are encouraged to monitor for reopening periods and connect directly with the Business Connect team.

City of Los Angeles Business Navigator

The LA Business Navigator is the City of Los Angeles’s central, one-stop portal designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners start, operate, and grow a business in the city. It streamlines access to key city services, such as business tax registration (BTRC), permits, contracting opportunities, taxes, ADA guidance, and department contacts by guiding users step-by-step to the right forms, information, and agencies in one place.

Rather than requiring business owners to navigate multiple city departments on their own, the LA Business Navigator acts as a digital concierge, connecting users to licensing, compliance, and support resources based on their specific needs. Its goal is to reduce confusion, save time, and make it easier, especially for small and first-time business owners, to successfully do business with the City of Los Angeles.
